Here’s how it works
The conversation
You and Brian spend an hour on your operation: how many techs you have, how work comes in, where tickets pile up, and which of your longstanding headaches are actually fixable. No slides and no script.
The walkthrough
Brian shows you the parts of FacetTRAK that apply to what you just described. If dispatching is your sore spot, you’ll see the dispatch panel. If billing is, you’ll see how time entries become QuickBooks invoices.
The trial
Before you hang up, Brian sets you up with a 30-day free trial arranged around what you talked about, so you’re evaluating the system with your own situation in mind instead of a blank screen.
This is worth your hour if
- You run an IT service business with somewhere between 3 and 50 technicians
- You’ve outgrown your current PSA, or you’re running on a helpdesk tool plus spreadsheets plus QuickBooks
- You bill recurring contracts and can’t easily tell which ones make money
- You’re paying separately for ticketing, a CRM, and billing software
Probably not for you if
- You’re an internal IT department with nobody to invoice
- Your current system genuinely works, and you’re just curious what else is out there. (That’s fine, but the trial alone will answer that faster.)
We’d rather you skip it than spend an hour that doesn’t move your business forward.
We didn’t build FacetTRAK to sell it. We built it to run our own company.
Facet Technologies is a managed IT provider in Peoria, Illinois. Every feature in FacetTRAK exists because we needed it ourselves. When our dispatching got messy, we fixed dispatching. When we couldn’t tell which contracts were profitable, we built contract profitability reporting. Our own technicians, dispatchers, and bookkeepers use this software every day, and when something isn’t right, they complain to the developers down the hall until it is.
It also means one system covers what most IT businesses spread across three or four:
- Ticketing, queues, and email-to-ticket
- Dispatch panel and scheduling
- Project management with stages and Gantt charts
- CRM with a built-in dialer
- Contracts, estimates, and profitability reporting
- Invoicing and QuickBooks integration
- Inventory and asset tracking
- Timesheets, custom reports, and dashboards
The numbers behind the company that runs on it
Clients don’t stay with an IT provider for more than a decade unless the operation behind the scenes runs well. FacetTRAK is that operation.
What Brian will ask you
So you can come prepared, here are the questions he usually starts with. Rough numbers are fine, and nobody expects a slide deck.
- How many technicians, endpoints, and active contracts do you have?
- Where do tickets get stuck: intake, dispatch, or close-out?
- Do you know which of your contracts are profitable? How long would it take you to find out?
- How many different systems does one ticket touch before the invoice goes out?
- What are you paying per user across all of those tools combined?
- Do you have to modify or change how you run your business to match your current PSA or ticketing tool?
What FacetTRAK costs
That’s FacetTRAK Premium, which covers what an IT service business needs: the full ticketing system, dispatch and scheduling, project management, the CRM module, and QuickBooks integration. Your 30-day trial is free with no credit card required. Full plan details are on our pricing page.

Common questions
Is this a sales call?
It’s a working session first. Brian has run an IT business since 1989, and if your problem turns out to be a process problem rather than a software problem, he’ll tell you so. The advice is yours to keep either way.
We’re under contract with our current PSA. Should we wait?
No need to wait. Most owners start looking six months to a year before a renewal, because that’s when you have time to plan a switch and leverage to negotiate. Knowing what you’d move to is useful long before you can move.
How does migration work?
Companies, contacts, contracts, and open tickets can be imported, and historical ticket data can usually come along too. Every environment is a little different, so Brian will scope what your migration would look like during the session. It tends to be the first thing people ask him.
Who owns our data?
You do, always. If you ever want a full export, ask us and we’ll provide it — your data never gets held hostage.
